Wastewater from Binh An hospital was treated by EGSB lab-scale model. It is found that both EGSB started up with granular sludge and septic sludge operated at organic loading rate of 0.2-1.8 kg COD/m3.day, with upward-flow velocity of 1.3 m/h can achieve greater than 65% COD removal efficiency and meet the current Vietnamese discharged standard for effluent from hospital wastewater (QCVN 28:2008/BTNMT)

By summarizing current situation of municipal solid waste management system of HCMC and analyzing results of researches, demonstration studies and projects, the paper focus on evaluating possibilities and challenges of practical applications of solid waste separation at source and getting pure biodegradable organic materials from domestic solid waste for further reuse and recycling.

However, recently, several areas in Vietnam where river system passing through are facing great difficulties, especially in agriculture due to rapid growth of water hyacinth.

Traffic emission contributes significantly to air pollution in Hanoi. This study estimated emissions from passenger  fleets of cars, taxis and buses in Hanoi in 2010 using International Vehicle Emission (IVE) model for 14 species of air pollutants and greenhouse gases (GHGs). Surveys were conducted to gather information on fleet technology distribution and driving activities.
